Just a few reminders

Just a few reminders…

1.    Saturday, Feb 4 at 12 Noon is our Annual Soup Luncheon, Phipps Garden Center (NOT Phipps Conservatory) with PIDS. This is a well attended event with multiple delicious soups plus other side dishes, desserts, breads, salads, etc. It is a nice time to chat with old friends, meet new members and enjoy the food. Please let me know if you plan to bring a soup ASAP. Complete info at the end of this e-mail.

2.    Saturday, March 4 at 12 Noon is our Annual Meeting, Church across Library, & as with last year it will be a lunch social. The club will buy pizza we ask you bring a salad/dessert dish for 8 to share. After the social members of the Steering Committee will report on the State of the Club & our plans for 2017. If you want to know more about your club then you should be there…At least for the food & fellowship!

3.    Friday & Saturday, March 17-18 is Hosta College in Piqua, OH. This is another great event—around 350 people attending, like a mini convention. As the title implies this is sort of a college experience. The classes start on Saturday 8:30 A, there are 6 periods & you go from one class to the other—just like in college. The classes can be on hosta, other plants or gardening in general. There are also non-gardening classes of wide general interest. Continental breakfast, lunch & snacks are included in the registration. You should have received, or will shortly receive, a green postcard with the registration info—if not let me know ASAP. Members’ registration starts on February 4 & let me tell you, classes fill very quickly! For complete information & class list check the website: https://www.ihostohio.org/glhc

So Mark Your Calendar! And plan to attend all these very nice events—did I mention there is food in all of them! So come on down & say hi to friends or meet new ones. Is all FUN!
